BALKAN after reinforcing its position in the aluminium market with completing the design of its new BLK Aluminium systems and the takeover of the architectural systems section of FWB Brökelmann Aluminium, made an important step towards the realization of its strategic plan.:

For the last one and a half year BALKAN has investigated the option of finding and purchasing an industrial unit for setting up an aluminium extrusion infrastructure, to support its plans and its sales network, consisting of 22 selling points scattered in 5 European countries. During this period, BALKAN has examined the possibility of acquiring several industrial units before ending up and choosing to acquire EXTRAL S.A. Extrusion Factory.

By adding an extrusion factory to its assets, BALKAN adds a significant advantage to its current solution spectrum, securing the necessary consistency and suppleness, product quality, continuous evolution and adherence to the market requirements and mainly securing the famous «BALKAN Service»

Its factory, under the name of BLK Extrusion Industry S.A., is located in the 79th km. of the national road Athens-Lamia, near Thiva, and it is deployed over a 39.000 square meters, 7.000 of which are housing its productive activities, which include apart from the extrusion chain, a unit of electrostatic dye.
